Intravenous Therapy (i.e., TPN, antibiotics, pain management,
hydration)
RN/LPN provides traditional nursing care, as well as treatment for wounds, dressing changes, IV set ups, instructions on medications and training for family members who are able to assist.

Physical Therapy (PT/PTA) |

• Gait and balance retraining
• Bed mobility and transfer
• Strengthening and therapeutic exercises
• Prosthetic devices and braces training
PT/PTA provides instruction and exercise treatments to help patients regain strength and independent mobility. They may also educate patients families on techniques for safe lifting and transferring if the patient needs help when a nurse or aide is not on duty.

Occupational Therapy (OT/COTA)

• Eating, dressing and personal hygiene retraining
• Adaptive or customoized therapeutic devices training
OT/COTA Provides patients with new skills for dealing with day to day living even with physical limitations. Occupational Therapists may also train patients on how to get around their homes safely with a walking device.

Speech Therapy also known as Speech Language Pathologist(SLP)
|

• Language and communication retraining
Speech Language Pathologist(SLP) works with patients who are suffering from speech loss as a result of disease, surgical procedure, or after suffering from a stroke.

Medical Social Services - Masters of Social Works (MSW) |

• Community resource planning
• Financial and emotional counseling
• Physical environment assessment
MSW often called out to the home to assess the patients needs and recommend other community resources that might prove valuable to the patient and family. They are able to put the patients, as well as family care givers, in touch with programs that will maximize the patients recovery and future well being. Social workers may also provide basic counseling to help patients and family members adjust to the demands of at home care.
